Wie In Fourth After Third Round 74

It seemed to be a little more of a struggle today for Michelle Wie, but she still finished the third round of the LPGA Sectional Qualifying School with a two-over 74 and is currently in fourth place heading to the final day.

Wie, fresh off a seven-under 65 yesterday that is still the low score of the week, had put herself in a position after the first two days where a bad round wouldn't hurt her. The 18-year-old only needs to finish in the top-30 to advance to the finals of Q-School in Daytona Beach, Florida Dec. 3-7.

Since none of the FanHouse golf addicts went to watch Wie's round, we can only assume Mission Hills Country Club in Rancho Mirage, California was playing a little tougher today, with only five of the 82 golfers left in the field breaking 70. Sun-Ju Ahn continues to lead this thing, posting an even par-72 today to keep herself at 12-under par and in a tie with amateur Anna Nordqvist.

Wie is ten shots ahead of the 30th place cut line, so barring any disastrous round tomorrow (blocks out near 88 at Ginn Tribute last year), Michelle will move on to Florida.
