Kaka Rejects Massive Man City Bid

Well, Kaka, you are truly a better man than I. News broke in the wee hours Tuesday morning (European time), that the Brasilian superstar turned down a world-record transfer fee from Manchester City that would have reportedly paid him the handsome sum somewhere in the neighborhood north of $700,000 U.S. per week. (That's only somewhere around $35 million per year, jealous A-Rod?)

Kaka announced his decision to stay, prompting a City to say it had withdrawn the bid. Apparently the outpouring emotions and hand drawn pictures by the Milan fans trumped the Monday signings of Craig Bellamy and Nigel de Jong for Kaka. When he pointed to his heart when walking off the field after Milan's 1-0 win over Fiorentina on Saturday at the San Siro, it wasn't merely lip service -- he made a decision with his heart and not his head.
