Chicago's most prolific Mexican chef, Geno Bahena, is at it again. This week, he adds another restaurant, Danzon, to a lineup that already includes Los Moles, Real Tenochtitlan, Dos Diablos, and others. Grab the tequila and prepare to celebrate Cinco de Mayo a bit early at this new Logan Square spot, where Bahena blends the cuisines of several Latin countries. Caribbean ceviches join border-style grilled chicken and plenty of seafood options on the extensive menu. The small plates are especially global, featuring Basque-inspired patatas bravas, Galician octopus a la plancha, and Colombian aji-papa stuffed potatoes. Danzon is now open for lunch and dinner Tuesday through Saturday, as well as Sunday brunch. A limited number of reservations are accepted.
