You've heard the saying, "Don't make a federal case out of it," right?
Well, a Northwest Side woman is doing just that after having her car towed by the city, not once, but twice.
The case has now turned into a federal class-action lawsuit that could affect thousands of car owners.
WBBM radio reported that U.S. District Judge Milton Shadur made the ruling last week, granting class-action status in a lawsuit filed by Disenia Cancel, whose car was towed twice in less than 24 hours last January.
Nearly a year later, Cancel still doesn't have her car back.
