Chicago, IL (Sports Network) - The Chicago Cubs have avoided arbitration with infielder Ronny Cedeno. Terms of the deal were not released, but he will reportedly earn $822,000 this coming season.
Cedeno, who turns 26 on February 2, batted .269 with 12 doubles, two home runs and 28 RBI, while playing five different positions, in 99 games for the Cubs last season.
A career .252 hitter, Cedeno has spent his entire four-year career with the Cubs.
