Not all of the cars at the 2014 Chicago Auto Show are brand new and cutting edge.
There's a definite nod to the old school at some displays. For Larry Pagliano of Windy City Corvettes, keeping the classic Corvettes at looking good at the show is a labor of love.
"They absolutely love them, I tell you. There are so many people who say this is their mid-life crisis car," Pagliano said.
Windy City Corvettes set up shop in a corner of the Auto Show this year, which is proving to be a huge draw.
"I think it's an American icon. The horsepower, the sound, the ride, the history of the Corvette over all these years. It kind of brings everybody back too. And, they're kind of pretty to look at too," Pagliano said.
Across the aisle from the Corvettes, there's no shortage of snap shots being taken at the Illinois Camaro Club’s display.
"It was Chevy's answer to the Mustang, and they sort of one-upped them. I just think people get attached to Camaros, and they like them," said Michael Warnock of the Illinois Camaro Club. "I fell in love with the Camaro when it came out and I was 15 years old at the time. I have a '68, and I was 15 when my car was built."
And you can't mention the Camaro without giving a nod to the pony car that started it all -- the Mustang.
"American muscle, had them since the '60s -- fond memories I guess," said John Albergo of the Chicagoland Mustang Club.
But just because you love the classics, doesn’t mean you can’t appreciate the new. Just ask Pagliano what he thinks about the brand new Corvette Stingray.
"I have one. I think it's great. I got it last week, it's in my garage. I wish I could drive it with all the snow we've had," Pagliano said.
