Christmas Around the World Is Really Almost Here

It seems incomprehensible, but it's true – Christmas is quite literally right around the corner. Evidence: the Museum of Science and Industry's Christmas Around the World and Holidays of Light exhibit opens this Friday, Nov. 14.  Yeah, we know you just packed away the pumpkins and are still making your way through the leftover Halloween candy.   But this exhibit is a reminder that you'd better start your online shopping sooner rather than later and trade your autumn spice candle for an evergreen one.

More than 50 glittering trees all decked out for the holidays will be on display at the MSI for your holiday viewing pleasure, and singers and dancers will be on hand to get you into the spirit.  This is the 75th anniversary of the museum, as well, so take part in some of the related festivities, such as reading some of the “museum memories” shared by guests; you are welcome to share your memories for the collection, as well.  Christmas Around the World and Holidays of Light goes until Jan. 4.
