Chi's First Social Media Scavenger Hunt

Though the closest most adult-types get to a scavenger hunt is a mad scramble for the Advil after a night on the town, the Downtown Dash is looking to change all that. September 10 at various downtown locations—parks, hotels, restaurants and the like—competing teams will use their social media savvy and good old-fashioned hustle to complete challenges in the hopes of racking up some fabulous prizes.

Once you've settled up with your $70 registration fee, you'll start receiving clues that'll help you out on the big day. Then, on the 10th, your mad dash begins, as you'll utilize Twitter, Foursquare, and whatever wits you've got about you after all that running and clicking to outrun and out check-in your competition. Which should be fierce; participants in Downtown Dash can win a tablet computer, White Sox tickets, bicycles, tickets to shows at The Venue, and even a grand to help fund an event of your choosing. You can kick off the registration process right here. Good luck! Don't drop your phone.
