Chicagoist, Rare Tea Cellar and Goose Island Release New Beer

We're big fans of the Goose Island collaboration series, so we've been keeping a close eye on Chicagoist as they document the process (parts 2, 3) working with Rodrick Markus from Rare Tea Cellar and Goose Island Clybourn's brewmaster, Jared Rouben. A month in the making, the team finally wrapped up brewing yesterday (apparently receiving the seal of approval from Graham Elliot Bowles, who will be brewing with Rouben next week). The saison ale uses Rodrick's "Emperor's Lemon Meritage," with a shandy-like flavor that resulted in moniker, "Sai-Shan-Tea." The beer will finally be released at the Chicagoist Reader Meetup/"Sai-Shan-Tea" party at Goose Island Clybourn on July 22 at 6:00 p.m. [Chicagoist]
