Better start doing some push-ups. In a (pretty clever) stunt to draw a crowd for a night of amateur circus performances, Aloft Loft -- the local trapeze school -- is putting on "El Circo Cheapo" Saturday night.
Here's the deal: It costs $10 to get in, minus the number of pull-ups you can do. If you can do 10, grab a date and a bottle of wine, because you have yourself a free date night. (Yep, the event is also BYOB.)
From flying trapeze artists to junior jugglers, locals will show off their skills at 7 p.m. and again at 10 p.m.
They're also accepting applications for performers. So, if you have some serious inner circus freak (no, being double-jointed doesn't count), contact the folks at Aloft to apply.
El Circo Cheapo starts Saturday, and will continue to be on the first Saturday of every month through February.
And yes, there will be clowns.
