After five years in business, bridal consignment boutique White Chicago has announced that it is closing its doors for good on Sunday, August 28.
The gleaming white boutique has filled a unique niche in Chicago's bridal market, offering off-rack and consignment prices on such designers as Vera Wang and Monique Lhuillier—in a space as beautiful as any upscale new bridal salon.
Of the decision to close, co-owners Stacy Senechalle and Ursula Guyer announced they are "happily pursuing new loves," according to a statement. Each has recently had a baby, and Senechalle is expecting another in October.
It's not too late to benefit from the great prices and lovely service. White Chicago's Bon Voyage Bridal Blow-Out Weekend takes place from Saturday, August 27 to Sunday, August 28, during which bridal gowns and accessories will be marked down up to 90 percent.
Also, Thursday, August 25, from 6-9 p.m., there will be a VIP party for brides wanting a sneak peak of the entire store, featuring gowns starting at $300. The event proceeds go to benefit one of the shop's longtime favorite causes, Brides Against Breast Cancer.
