A 12-year-old boy is recovering after being struck by a van and dragged in suburban Park Ridge.
The boy was riding his bike past a fire station when he was hit and dragged, becoming pinned under the vehicle.
Firefighters rushed across the street and began the rescue, which required the use of an airbag to lift the van off the victim.
