A body was found in Chicago more than a month after a search began for a missing suburban landlord whose car was found behind an abandoned Chicago home.
The body was found across the street from where the car of 76-year-old Vasudeva Kethireddy was found in Chicago's Englewood neighborhood.
Police confirmed a body was found in the 6200 block of south May but the body had not been identified as of Friday afternoon.
Family and friends of Kethireddy said they believe the body is his.
"Detectives were here yesterday going up and down streets, following behind where we went and then following the sewers that we didn’t touch and all of a sudden they hit on a sewer today right down here," community activist Andrew Holmes said.
The good-hearted grandfather and landlord from Rolling Meadows was known to do everything he could to help his tenants.
The emotionally exhausted family spent hours working beside Rolling Meadows and Chicago police to try to find their beloved relative.
