A 20-month-old girl died Sunday night after apparently accidentally drowning in her north suburban Glenview home.
Nora Akhtar was pronounced dead at 5:13 p.m. at North Shore University Health System Skokie Hospital, a spokesman for the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office said.
Authorities said the girl drowned in a bathtub in her home. An autopsy will be performed later Monday.
Glenview police were not immediately available to comment.
