Auto Show First Look Raises Money for 18 Charities

The annual benefit has raised more than $30 million in past years

Before the curtain raises on the latest, greatest autos at the annual Chicago Auto Show, socialites and car buffs gather Feb. 10 for a glitzy show preview at the annual First Look for Charity.

Historically held the first night of the Auto Show, the black-tie benefit gala of live music, worldly cuisine, raffles and, of course, auto show sneak peeks has raised more than $30 million for charities throughout the Chicago area. This year, 18 charities will benefit, including Autism Speaks and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Chicago.

Tickets for the event are $250 and come with an opportunity to win one of two new vehicles--a 2011 Honda CR-Z and a 2011 Hyundai Sonata Turbo. Also on tap for the evening is a dinner featuring food from New York City and Paris, as well as a concert headlined by KC and the Sunshine Band.

Attendees choose the charity or charities they want to benefit. Also, $203 is tax-deductible as a charitable donation.

The event begins at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 10. Black tie attire is required. Purchase tickets at chicagoautoshow.com.
