About Last Night: Rockin' the Rooftops

Checking out the view from three Chicago rooftop lounges

Like a devoted girlfriend who won't ditch you no matter how steadfastly boorish / reluctant to do your own dishes you are, summer's still here. So live it up while you can, and check out what you missed last night in the city:

C-View in the Affinia Hotel
Thursday was the debut of the Mile High Club at C-View, the rooftop lounge on top of the Affinia Hotel (166 East Superior St). Sorry, it's not some twisted sex club, but rather a trio of Svedka vodka drinks they're offering until the end of the summer. Don't miss Patron Tuesdays and Bacardi Wednesdays at C-View, along with DJs spinning beats several nights a week.

ROOF at theWit
There's no shortage of rooftop lounges in Chicago, but this summer, nobody has approached the white hot popularity of ROOF, located inside theWit hotel (201 N. State St.). You're getting some of the best views in the city here, and the same can be said for the pretty people who can be seen lounging here any night of the week. The unpredictable weather on Thursday meant that this was one of the only nights we haven't seen a line snaking down Lake Street. Don't plan on being so lucky on a future visit.

Conrad Hilton on Rush
There's so much to see and do on Rush Street, you'd never know there's an oasis of calm on the fifth floor of the Conrad Hilton (521 N Rush St). This rooftop lounge offers full dinner and drinks service, and the over-sized umbrellas and day beds practically beg you to take a load off and relax. Diageo was pimping Jose Cuervo drinks Thursday night, so the place was packed. We suggest you check out Sunday nights, when they put up a large screen and show a Chicago-themed movie at 7:30 p.m. Get there early, as it usually fills up.
