It was definitely ladies night on Thursday, from the final Shecky's Girls Night Out event at Union Station, to Michigan Avenue Magazine's search for the "Ultimate Redhead." And even though the calendar says September, we found plenty of people celebrating St. Patrick's Day.

Last Call for Ladies Night
Shecky's Girls Night Out events are held all over the country, and typically sell out at each location. Free beauty treatments and steep discounts on couture items make this an annual must-attend for any stylish gal. If you missed any of the three nights this week, you could make the trek to Minneapolis or St. Louis in the coming weeks. Or perhaps your one of your girlfriends who did will be willing to share the contents of her goody bag.

A New Redhead in Town

Thirty-five women vied for the chance to represent a real-life version of the iconic gal in the Red Head Piano Bar logo. The contest was sponsored by Michigan Avenue Magazine, and an ad will appear in a future issue with the winner. She told us her name is Meghan, but she's better known as Deirdre Doll -- her burlesque stage name. In fact, the contest was quite popular with burlesque beauties, with a couple of showing a little skin to try to help persuade the judges. But perhaps it was Deirdre Doll's quoting of classic literature that won them over. Looks like redheads got brains and beauty too.

Halfway to St. Patrick's Day

Timothy O'Toole's was packed with people who really didn't need much justification to party, but took advantage of this significant date to throw down some cheap, green beer. The party continues throughout the weekend, with perhaps the highlight being the Leprechaun contest on Friday night.
