Our beloved Chicago Blackhawks are in the NHL Western Conference Finals (yay!), but the team needs our help (they're currently trailing the Detroit Red Wings 0-2 -- boo!). The 'Hawks have a homestand this weekend, which should help their chances, but, just in case, cheer the team on at a family-friendly pep rally at Madison and Friends, the hipster clothing boutique for kids.
Both locations of Madison and Friends (Gold Coast and Deerfield) will host a Blackhawks playoffs pep rally on Saturday, May 23, complete with appearances by Tommy Hawk, the team's energetic mascot, and members of the Ice Crew Girls (they might be there more for Dad). The stores will even set up hockey nets on the sidewalk, where all kids will get a chance to shoot a puck for prizes and store discounts.
The Blackhawks pep rallies will take place from 12-1PM at the Madison and Friends location at 43 E. Oak St. (312-642-6403), and from 2-3PM at the 720 Waukegan Rd. store in Deerfield (847-236-4131).
