8/3: Rom Coms, Tori Amos and Tap Dancing Galore

Movies served with wine, Tori Amos sings about sin and Rhythm World

SUMMER LOVIN': Head to D.O.C. Wine Bar in west suburban Lombard for "Movie Mondays." August's (yes, it's August, people) theme is "Summer Lovin'," and the first flick of the month is, appropriately enough, "Grease." You'll get to feast on truffle butter popcorn while ordering up half-priced bottles of wine (under $100, let's not go nuts here) and Summer Citrus Cosmos for $6 a pop. 7PM, no cover.

CORNFLAKE GIRL: Witness the return of Tori Amos tonight at the Chicago Theatre. The flame-haired, piano-brutalizing singer will be in town to support her new album, "Abnormally Attracted to Sin." We're inclined to believe her. One Eskimo opens. 7:30PM, $39.50-$59.50.

RHYTHM NATION: Tap dancing is alive and well at the 19th annual Rhythm World: Tap Jam festival tonight at the Chicago Cultural Center. See eye-popping improv tap performances by dancers from the Chicago Human Rhythm Project. 7:30PM, free.
