ROCK 'N' ROLLA: From the guys behind English, LaSalle Power Co. and Angels & Mariachis, the revamped Rockwood Place (nee Central) is decked out with edgy black leather booths, lipstick red pool tables and designer wallpaper. All-organic grub includes barbecued smoked pulled chicken sandwiches and turkey chili, complemented by an all-American beer list, whiskey and wine.

WE GOT THE BEAT: ThinkArt Salon hosts a 50th bday party for William S. Burroughs' "Naked Lunch," with guests including actor Peter Weller and Penny Arcade, a former member of Warhol's entourage. Catch a glimpse of a new Burroughs documentary, see Burroughs' artwork and indulge in the open bar serving some of the man's "special elixirs." 5:30 p.m., $60-$75 includes the exhibition and an after-party at Stop Smiling (1371 N.
