$5 “Burker” Burgers Are Back

Primehouse's gourmet burgers offered at reduced price this week

The holiday weekend may be over but we can't think of a better way to kick off the barbecue season than a nice steep discount on one of the best burgers in town.

From Monday through Friday this week during lunch, David Burke's Primehouse (616 North Rush at The James Hotel) is offering its famous Burker burger for a measly 5 bucks, instead of its usual $15 price tag.

The burger is served on a potato bun and topped with smoked bacon mayonnaise, garlicky spinach and crispy fried onions. Burke's steaks are aged on-site in a Himalayan salt-tiled dry aging room, and the meat for the burgers are aged alongside.

Other highlights on the menu this week include the Sam Adams Summer Ale Battered Chicken Burger ($5), Crab Cake Sliders ($8), Burke Castle Salad ($7), and the Foot Long Black Pepper Benton Bacon Burger ($12).

You can also make it a "Big Pappa Burker" by adding toppers such as Angry Shrimp, Lobster Slaw or Fried Egg and Oscar. Throw some Truffle Asiago Fries ($6), Tempura Beans ($7) or the new limited-time Salt & Vinegar Chips ($6) and you'll need close the office door and take a nap that afternoon.
