A 31-car pileup on a snowy Indiana Interstate has left two people dead, according to police.
State police said 61-year-old Donald E. Hayden, of Tecumseh, Mich., is in critical condition at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. Initial reports had included Hayden in the list of deceased.
Confirmed dead are Dustin R. Goettman, 27, and Ryan A. Phillips, 28, both of Anderson, Ind.
The crash involving nine semitrailers and 22 other vehicles happened Tuesday morning during a snowstorm on the highway in the northern Indianapolis suburb of Fishers.
