When it comes to custom stone countertops, context can be everything. We might love that slab of granite or quartz we see in the showroom, but how will it look in our actual kitchen or bathroom? Does it fit with the rest of the decor style in our home? Will it work with the cabinets and backsplash and natural lighting?

Fortunately, Precision Stone Design takes all the guess work out of the process with their web-based visualizer tools, available for both iPhone and iPad. Based in Elk Grove Village, Precision Stone Design is Chicagoland’s premier, one stop shop for custom stone countertops — offering everything from in-house inventory to custom design and fabrication to installation — and these new tools allow clients to further envision the bespoke stone masterpieces for their dream kitchen, bathroom, or living room before a single slab is cut.

Visualizers

Kitchen Visualizer

As any family will attest, a lot of quality time is spent in the kitchen. So why not make it the most stylish space in your home? With the Kitchen Visualizer you’ll be able to envision the custom stonework and flow throughout your new kitchen. Thousands of design combinations are available, allowing you to select from a variety of cabinet colors, backsplash options, countertops, and flooring.

Bathroom Visualizer

Similar to the Virtual Kitchen Designer, the Bathroom Visualizer helps you envision the bathroom you desire. Select from two different bathroom designs, cabinet colors, backsplashes, countertops, flooring, and shower surrounds. You’ll also be able to play with a variety of tiles, mosaics, and countertops to help you create the bathroom of your dreams.

Countertop Edge Visualizer

Having the right edge details is nearly as important as choosing the right stone for your living space, meaning you won’t want to leave this step up to chance. Once you have selected the natural stone for your countertop, the next tough decision is to select the design of the profile edge. MSI’s Countertop Edge Visualizer allows you to view 12 edges, with a link to dozens of more profile options. With this tool, you can see how the Bevel edge differs from the Triple Pencil, and the Classic Ogee – right on your computer’s screen.

Stacked Stone Visualizer

Of course custom stone isn’t limited to your kitchen and bathroom. Stacked stone ledger panels are ideal for accent walls, fireplace surrounds, and many exterior projects. By using the Stacked Stone Visualizer, users can choose from two interior scenes and a number of stacked stone panels. Rather than guessing what your renovated living room or rustic outdoor space will look like, use this tool to get a feel for how natural stone ledger panels can complement your design project.

Once you’ve made your selections, your stone will be cut with their CNC Water-Jet and Bridge Saw, given edge details by The Tita, and then finally installed in your home (right down to the plumbing for a seamless experience).
