New Reality Show Focuses on Jackson Brothers

"The Jacksons: A Family Dynasty" will debut in December

The Jackson Five might be launching a return into the spotlight, albeit with an updated lineup, in a new reality TV show, E! Online reports.

"The Jacksons: A Family Dynasty" will air on cable network A&E and focus on Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, Marlon and Randy Jackson and their respective families. Filming originally started around a year ago but was canceled when Michael Jackson nixed plans for a Jackson family reunion concert.

Michael's death apparently renewed interest in the show and filming resumed shortly after.

"We are discussing the direction of the show with the family," a spokesman for the A&E network said after filming was restarted.

There have also been conflicting reports on whether or not Michael's children, his sister Janet or mother Katherine will appear in the show.

“A&E’s series will chronicle the unscripted real lives of, principally, four Jackson brothers Jackie, Jermaine, Tito and Marlon as they go about their lives following the death of their brother Michael," the spokesman confirmed. "However, we cannot at this point definitively know who else may make an appearance in the series.”

"The Jacksons: A Family Dynasty" premiers Dec. 13 with two back-to-back hour-long episodes. The show will run a total of six episodes.
