Anthony Weiner's Next Step: “Entourage”?

Well, he has the free time now.

Days before New York congressman Anthony Weiner resigned his House of Representatives seat amid a lurid Twitter sex scandal, "Entourage" creator Doug Ellin apparently reached out to the 46 year-old politician about playing himself on an episode of the hit HBO series.

"Entourage," which stars Adrian Grenier and Jeremy Piven, follows the wacky misadventures of a young Hollywood star and his best friends as they navigate the sex, drugs, and rock 'n roll Tinsel town lifestyle. Numerous big names from a variety of fields - including Aaron Sorkin, Mark Cuban, and Jerry Jones - have appeared as themselves during the show's seven seasons.

Ellin recently told Hollywood Reporter about the Weiner offer, but admitted he has heard "nothing" yet from the politician or his office.

"Entourage" season eight, slated to be its final season, begins on July 24.
