“The Voice” Recap: Nick Jonas Performs

Nick Jonas joined the top eight contestants onstage on Monday night's episode of "The Voice."

Two coaches lit up the stage on Monday night's episode of "The Voice," with Pharrell Williams and Gwen Stefani teaming up for a performance of their new collaboration "Spark the Fire."

But it was Nick Jonas who stole the show, as the pop star joined the top eight contestants for a group performance of his Billboard Top-10 single "Jealous." The top eight opened the show with a group rendition of "Geronimo."

Team Gwen's Ryan Sill, who has been saved the past two weeks with the #VoiceSave, looked to break out of the bottom three with a performance of Journey's powerhouse ballad "Open Arms."

"I don't know what else you can do to not be in the bottom three," coach Blake Shelton said. "I think this is your best performance yet."

Next up was Team Blake's lone contestant, Craig Wayne Boyd, who got the crowd clapping to a performance of the Eagles' "Take It Easy."

"I think what you did was perfect," Shelton told Boyd. "You're a rocker. There's no holding back."

The show's last remaining female artist, Team Pharrell's DaNica Shirey, performed a rendition of "These Dreams" by Heart.

Damien earned a standing ovation from the coaches and the audience with a soulful rendition of Adele's "Someone Like You."

"Tonight was your best, best, best performance," coach Adam Levine told his team member.

Next up was another contestant on Team Adam, Chris Jamison, who "hit every note" of Marvin Gaye's "Sexual Healing," Pharrell Williams said.

Luke Wade was dynamic in his performance of "Holding Back the Years," by Simply Red.

"You completely let go," Williams told his team member. "I love what we've done thus far."

Taylor John Williams, Team Gwen's pop-folk singer, sang a cabaret-esque rendition of Lorde's mega-hit "Royals."

"He's doing all this," his coach said. "He has a real vision for himself, and that's what's making everybody connect to [him]."

Matt McAndrew from Team Adam turned in a soulful performance of "The Blower's Daughter."

"Freakin' brilliant, dude," Shelton said.

Another highlight of the show: Carson Daily announced that "The Voice" stars have 20 million singles sold on iTunes.

"The Voice" airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8/7c on NBC.
