Ryan Gosling's ‘Saturday Night Live' Promos Feature ‘Titanic' Reenactments and New Hero Aidy Bryant

"Saturday Night Live's" Aidy Bryant lived out every fan's fantasy with Ryan Gosling–well, she tried to by scripting a makeout session in the new "SNL" promos.

"Oh weird, what does this card say? Ryan and Aidy kiss passionately for the remainder of this promo? Ugh. These damn writers, but I guess we gotta do it," Bryant says in the video above.

But Gosling catches on. Yes we're aware this was scripted, but Aidy Bryant: hero for even trying.

The two go off to bond in "comfortable" or "uncomfortable" silence, then decide to reenact "Titanic" (but not the scene you'd think).

This is the first time Gosling is hosting the NBC late-night sketch show. Leon Bridges is taking the stage for the first time as musical guest. Following up Gosling's hosting gig will be Chris Hemsworth on Saturday, Dec. 12 with musical guest Chance the Rapper. Tina Fey and Amy Poehler will host the holiday show on Saturday, Dec. 19 with Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band.

Gosling's "Saturday Night Live" airs Saturday, Dec. 5 at 11:30 p.m. on NBC.

(E! and NBC are both part of the NBCUniversal family.)
