    R. Kelly Out of Jail, Another Alleged Tape Surfaces

    R. Kelly is out of Cook County Jail and another attorney is expected to talk about another tape that allegedly shows the singer with an underage girl later Sunday. NBC 5's Lisa Chavarria reports.

    R. Kelly was bailed out of jail Saturday, the Cook County sheriff's office said, after he was taken into custody Wednesday just after he appeared at a child support hearing at Chicago's Daley Center.

The singer posted bond as of Saturday morning, authorities confirmed, and he was released around noon.

"I love my fans, for sticking there with me," the singer told media after his release.

It's still unclear who exactly paid the roughly $161,000 Kelly owed in back child support, and the singer's lawyer Steve Greenberg said he could not discuss the payment in depth because of a gag order on the case.

Meanwhile, in Detroit, another woman came forward claiming Kelly had sex with her when she was just 13, NBC affiliate WDIV reported. Detroit police told the station they were aware of the allegation.

Kelly's next court appearance on the child support matter is set for March 13, and he will also appear in court on March 22 for a criminal hearing on his abuse case.

The amount he needed to pay was $161,633, according to the sheriff's office.

The R&B singer — who is out on bail in a criminal case accusing him of sexually abusing four women years ago, including three who were underage at the time - spoke very little as he walked past reporters at the Cook County Jail, but thanked his fans for their support.

Kelly's lawyer also spoke, calling the criticisms against his client "disgusting."

"The man was paying $20,000 a month in child support. He paid it religiously until he couldn't make any more money because of all of these statements that are being made and all of the rumors and all of the innuendo, and frankly all of the charges," Greenberg said.

    R. Kelly has been charged with 10 counts of criminal sexual abuse in Cook County, Illinois.

David France, the manager for Kelly's ex-wife Andrea Kelly, told the Chicago Sun-Times that the singer hadn't made a child support payment that was due by late Tuesday.

Kelly, who previously spent a weekend in jail, has pleaded not guilty to the 10 counts of aggravated sexual abuse that he faces. "CBS This Morning" broadcast part of an interview with Kelly earlier Wednesday in which he said the allegations against him are all lies.

"Hate me if you want to, love me if you want. But just use your common sense," he said. "How stupid would it be for me, with my crazy past and what I've been through — oh right now I just think I need to be a monster, and hold girls against their will, chain them up in my basement, and don't let them eat, and don't let them out."

Greenberg addressed that interview as well, saying it didn't help or hurt his client's case.

"No matter what the man does, people are criticizing," he said. "So what's the man to do? He sat for an interview. He's not hiding."
