Queen Tells Kate Middleton to Ditch Short Skirts

Kate Middleton has become something of a fashion icon, but one very important person doesn't appear to be a fan of her style -- her grandmother-in-law, Queen Elizabeth II.

According to Britain's Daily Mail, the Queen has demanded Middleton lose the short skirts and display a more conservative style.

And just to be sure there's no confusion, the Queen has entrusted a aide from her own staff to help with Middleton's transformation.

"She has been tasked with assisting Kate to select statement jewellery and gemstones from the Queen’s personal collection. This forms part of a deliberate move to shift the Duchess’s image from High Street to high end, timeless Royal elegance – without losing her freshness and informality." -- Daily Mail

But lest the fashionistas of the world start to fret, the newspaper reports that Middleton is also consulting the likes of the Alexander McQueen label to design new dresses -- undoubtedly well below the knees.
