Pia Zadora Arrested on Domestic Battery Charges

Pia Zadora seems to have unleashed a hit--but it won't score her a chart-topping record.

The erstwhile singer turned actress was busted Saturday for an alleged beatdown that happened at her home in Las Vegas.

Per published reports, the 61-year-old was booked on charges on domestic battery and coercion after police responded to a call involving an alleged domestic incident at around 5 a.m.

She was arrested six hours later and subsequently released after posting a $4,000 bail.

No other details about the incident were disclosed, including the identity of the alleged victim.

Zadora reportedly shares the home with her third husband, law-enforcement officer Michael Jeffries.

A one-time Broadway child star, Zadora scored middling fame in the 1980s after releasing a string of minor hits, but she is infamously remembered for winning a Golden Globe for Best New Star of the Year for her debut film, "Butterfly"--a plaudit that she failed to parlay into bigger, lasting stardom.
