First Lady of the United States to Appear on Popular Disney Show

First Lady of the United States Michelle Obama will be animated into a popular Disney Junior show.

Starring as herself, Obama will appear in a special episode of Doc McStuffins titled "Doc McStuffins Goes to Washington," on Oct. 5.

In the episode, the characters of the show get a special tour of the White House with Obama.

"You are here because you inspire me," she tells the children characters in a sample of the episode. "You are reaching high for yourselves and your communities and making the world a better place."

The episode airs on Child Health Day and it is said that parts of the show will promote the "Let's Move!" initiative.

The "Let's Move!" initiative was announced Feb. 9, 2010 by the First Lady. She said during a speech on Sept. 16, at the South Court Auditorium at the Eisenhower Executive Office Building, that nearly 9 million kids attend "Let's Move!" "active schools," where they get 60 minutes of exercise every day.

The show is a well-known program on the Disney channel. The main character's name is Dottie "Doc" McStuffins, who fixes toys as practice to be a doctor like her mother in the show. She offers kids friendly health tips on basic personal hygiene.

The First Lady also hosted a Veteran's Day themed episode of the show last year at the White House.
