‘Below Deck Mediterranean' Sets Sail for New Adventures in Season 3

Chief Stew Hannah Ferrier dishes on the breathtaking experience filming in Italy

Season three of the reality show "Below Deck Mediterranean" sets its sails this evening against the beautiful backdrop of Italy as Captain Sandy Yawn and her crew voyage upon the 178 foot "Talisman Maiton" yacht.

The show features Chief Stew Hannah Ferrier and Chef Adam Glick as well as a whole new crew of deckhands as they travel across the country from Naples to Capri and Positano.

Ferrier, who has been on the show all three seasons, says the breathtaking atmosphere of Italy and the unique and genuine crew aboard the yacht this season has been one of the best experiences she has ever had.

"To me, Italy is the best of everything we've had so far," Ferrier said. "We've had the really chilled out laid back atmosphere like Greece and it's so much more beautiful than Croatia. And on top of that, you have the food and the wine so you really can't go wrong."

The Sydney, Australia native explained that being a part of a crew on a yacht is challenging. She's dealt with clashing personalities and balancing her work and personal life during her eight years as a stewardess. But Ferrier embraces her role as a leader and says in order to survive in the industry crew members must have the right attitude and an indelible work ethic.

"If you want to join yachting you need to dedicate your entire life to it. You need to be committed for at least five years. You need to do whatever it takes to get the job done and I think the most important thing is your attitude." Ferrier said.

"If you're going to come in and complain about the long work hours or the bad living environment or the chef's food you're just not going to survive. You need to be very strong at your core."

Below Deck Mediterranean season three premieres May 15th on Bravo at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
