Tidbits: Charlie Sheen's rep denies rehab rumors

A recent report suggesting those close to actor Charlie Sheen believe he should follow in his wife’s footsteps and enter rehab has been shot down by the “Two and a Half Men” star’s rep.

On Wednesday, Radar Online reported that friends fear Sheen has gone back to the bottle and needs help if he hopes to get sober.

“Many people believe Charlie is simply in denial about his own problems,” one insider said.

Another unnamed source echoed the sentiment, adding that it was highly unlikely Sheen would agree to enter an inpatient facility, as wife Brooke Mueller is said to have done.

“People close to him have urged him to enter rehab and get help again,” the source explained. “But it just doesn’t look like it’s going to happen.”

That last bit seems to be the only part of the story Camp Sheen supports, as a rep for the actor told UsMagazine.com the actor would definitely not enter rehab.

“Who told him to go to rehab?” the rep asked rhetorically. “Correct answer: no one.”

Brittany Murphy’s father unable to visit her grave
In December, Brittany Murphy’s estranged father claimed he didn’t attend his daughter’s Christmas Eve funeral by choice, but on Monday, Angelo Bertolotti learned he isn’t allowed to visit her grave at all.

Speaking to gossip Web site TMZ, Bertolotti explained that he attempted to pay his respects to the late actress and leave a trinket behind, but no one working for Forest Lawn Memorial Park would reveal the location of Murphy’s grave. The 83-year-old told TMZ the incident left him “raging.”

E! News contacted a rep from the Hollywood Hills cemetery and learned Bertolotti’s exclusion is likely based on the wishes of other family members, such as Murphy’s husband, Simon Monjack, and mother, Sharon Murphy.

“The cemetery is open to the public but particular families leave special instructions and we abide by them,” the Forest Lawn Memorial Mortuary rep stated.

Rinna thinks Montag’s surgery a bad influence
Although she’s admitted to going under the knife and needle a few times herself, soap star Lisa Rinna recently hid a People magazine cover featuring a post-plastic surgery Heidi Montag for fear it would be a bad influence on her daughters.

“I will tell you I had to take that cover off the magazine before it came in the house,” Rinna confessed to Fancast.com. “We have two girls. I don’t think it is something you want to bring in the house and say, ‘Oh, look.’ ”

The former “Dancing With the Stars” competitor and two-time Playboy magazine cover girl wasn’t the only member of the family put off by Montag’s big reveal. Husband Harry Hamlin agreed with Rinna’s worries, but explained that he believes the problem lies entirely with the publication.

“Well, you know, that magazine has changed so much,” Hamlin said. “I was actually on the cover a few times. In those days, they had stories about people who hadn’t had their faces cut open. They had stories about things that were really going on. I don’t know. I mean, plastic surgery?”

Dish on the fly
Actress Nicole Kidman and her Grammy award-winning husband, Keith Urban, hope to give their 1-year-old daughter, Sunday Rose, a new sibling in the near future, according to a report in the National Enquirer. “At her age (42), Nicole isn’t leaving family planning to chance,” an insider revealed to the magazine. “Nicole and Keith are hoping nature — and fertility treatments — take their course.” … While first-time mom Kourtney Kardashian readily admits she’s yet to shed her extra post-pregnancy pounds, boyfriend Scott Disick allegedly has little sympathy for his off-again-on-again partner and has even resorted to making fun of her. “To him, it’s joking, but to her it’s taunting,” a friend explained to In Touch magazine. “(Kourtney) is really trying to lose it, but it isn’t coming off as fast as she’d like.” Or as fast as her boyfriend would like, said Disick’s pal. “Scott said he’s not attracted to her because she’s fatter than she was when they were dating.” The eldest Kardashian sister gave birth to son Mason Dash Disick just two months ago.
