Scoop: Montag wants to have baby for headlines

First comes plastic surgeries, then comes baby? That’s the word from inside the Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt camp.

According to the friend of Montag’s who spoke to In Touch Weekly, when Montag drops out of the headlines, she comes up with a plan to be relevant again. Now that the surgery buzz is over, she’s thinking that the next step should be bringing Speidi Jr. into the world.

“Heidi wants to have a baby. She also knows it will probably generate a lot of attention,” said the friend, who claims that the couple is already trying to conceive. “It seems like she’ll do anything to stay relevant.”

The magazine is reporting that there is already an exclusive photo deal in place (when I asked for comment on this, the Pratts did not respond).

“She’s not even pregnant yet, but she and Spencer have already signed the papers,” reveals the source who spoke to In Touch. “They’re planning staged photos every step of the way — the pregnancy, the birth and, of course, the very first baby picture.”

Kate Gosselin fitting in with ‘Dancing’ crew
Just a day after the official announcement that Kate Gosselin would be joining “Dancing With the Stars,” the single mother of eight was in Hollywood meeting her fellow competitors and her dancing partner, Tony Dovolani. According to a source from the set, Gosselin fit right in.

“Kate was so nice," a set source told Us Weekly. “Everyone loved her. She was funny and cordial and accommodating.” It might sound like token platitudes, until the source added, “It was a surprise!”

Gosselin has said that she lacks any dancing aptitude and will have a lot of work to do, but Dovolani seems to be encouraged. He tweeted on Tuesday, “Kate and I are getting along great. She is (an amazing) Mom and it looks like she is going to become a great dancer too :-)."

TV casting news
In a casting move that might be the best thing that’s happened to “Parks & Recreation,” Entertainment Weekly’s Mike Ausiello reports that Rob Lowe will be headed to “Parks” for a recurring role. Lowe is reportedly leaving “Brothers and Sisters” when the season wraps.

And Blair Underwood is headed for the White House ... sort of. The actor, who received a Golden Globe nod for his work on “In Treatment,” has signed on to play the president in the new NBC thriller “The Event.” Jason Ritter will also star in the show. Ritter’s character will be trying to get to the bottom of a plot to assassinate the president.
