It's over between John Mayer and Jennifer Aniston, again, People reported.
A source told the magazine the rocker, who is currently at work on the follow up to his 2006 studio album "Continuum," broke up with the actress when she returned from promoting "Marley & Me" in Europe.

Another source suggested to the mag it was a mutual split.
"They had some disagreements and decided to not continue to see each other," the second source said. "Jen is moving on with life like she always does. She seems happy."

Jen and John previously split last summer, and the musician told the paparazzi not long after that he was the one who ended the relationship. However, the two rekindled their romance in November 2008.

While John has been known for posting on his blog or on Twitter information about his personal life, he appears to be remaining mum on the split. Instead, he has posted several clips of songs-in-progress for his new album, including cuts such as "Half of My Heart," and "Assassin," which appears to include the lyrics: "I was a killer, was the best they'd ever seen/I'd take your heart before you ever heard a thing/I'm an assassin and I had a job to do/Little did I know that girl was an assassin, too."
Last year, after reuniting with Jen, John told People, he was glad to have the actress in his life.

"It's really nice to have somebody in life have your back," he said. "That girl knows me… So, whether I go to bed alone or not, to have somebody who knows you in this world, that's a really nice thing."
