Tweakers? Rapper T.I., Wife Busted on Meth Charges

Cops allegedly find drugs after couple pulled over in West Hollywood

Rapper T.I., who stars in the new film "Takers," was busted with wife Tameka "Tiny" Cottle in West Hollywood on drug charges late Wednesday.

LA sheriff's deputy Mark Pope said the arrests for possession of a controlled substance came after a traffic stop, when officers allegedly smelled pot coming from their vehicle. Authorities said they found suspected methamphetamine in the car.

"Deputies smelled a strong odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle," the sheriff's department said. "A narcotics investigation ensued" that resulted in the arrests.

T.I. — whose real name is Clifford Harris Jr. — and Cottle, a 36-year-old singer, were booked at the West Hollywood sheriff's station. They were released around 4.a.m. on $10,000 bail.

"Jus wanted 2say thank u 2every1 dats been leaving encouraging msgs & prayers!" Cottle tweeted on Thursday. "We love u guys:) going 2bed now! So glad 2b n a nice clean bed."

T.I., 29, was released from a federal prison in Arkansas in March after serving several months for weapons possession.
