PETA on Lady Gaga's Meat Bikini: Not Well Done

Singer raises steaks in effort to outrage

Lady Gaga's latest desperate attempt to shock you is on the cover of a Japanese edition of Vogue, which has the "Pokerface" singer wearing nothing but some prime cuts of beef.

Gaga sports strategically arranged raw meat and nothing else on the cover of Voge Hommes Japan. And if her goal was to outrage, she at least claimed a victim in PETA.

"Meat is something you want to avoid putting on or in your body," the organization said in a statement. "No matter how beautifully it is presented, flesh from a tortured animal is flesh from a tortured animal."

Known before superstardom as Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, Gaga is equal parts Madonna, Bowie and Warhol, with undeniable vocal talent and canny knack for self-promotion.
