Jessica Simpson On Her Hair-Raising Twitter Uproar: It's ‘So Funny To Me'

Jessica Simpson says she was surprised how a few wigs and a couple of Tweets caused such an uproar on Monday.

"My hair, I know! You Tweet something and somehow it's a controversy," Jessica told Access Hollywood on Monday night at Good Housekeeping's 125th anniversary event New York on Monday night.

"We were just bored on a flight, Ken [Paves] and I, putting on wigs, trying out wigs and thought it would be funny to show the world," she said referring to her and Ken's Tweets, which showed her sporting a sassy short wig – and caused the world to question if the starlet had chopped her long locks.

"It's so funny to me, everybody thought that I actually cut my hair, but if they actually read the words with the Tweets, [then people would know] I didn't. It was a hair 'do piece that Ken and I are working on," Jessica told Access.

The 29-year-old said she's bewildered by the idea that her hair is worthy of a headline.

"The fact that if I cut my hair it would be news is kind of nuts to me," she continued. "I think that it should be about what a woman is doing in her life."
