Greed 2: Michael Douglas' Ex Wants Piece of New Wall St. Flick

Claims 2000 divorce deal gives her money from sequel

An angry ex wants a piece of Gordon Gekko's next payday.

Michael Douglas' ex-wife Diandra filed in New York demanding a cut of the actor's profits from "Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps," according to the New York Post. Diandra Douglas' lawyers claim their 2000 divorce agreement gives her a piece of any income generated by projects he did while they were married. While the divorce deal seems to apply to residuals and merchandising, the suit seeks to make it apply to a sequel.

"It's the same character, the same title, just years later," Diandra Douglas' attorney, Nancy Chemtob, told Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Matthew Cooper.

The movie, directed by Oliver Stone and featuring Douglas in the role he made famous in 1987, opens Sept. 24. It is not  known how much Douglas is being paid for the starring role opposite Shia LaBeouf.

Douglas, who is now married to actress Catherine Zeta-Jones, paid his ex-wife a reported $45 million in their divorce agreement. The deal came after a bitter split, which included accusations Douglas was a sex addict who constantly cheated on his wife of 23 years.

Michael Douglas' lawyer, Marilyn Chinitz, said the suit should be dismissed and Diandra should stop trying to squeeze her famous ex.

"He doesn't want her to be an albatross around his neck forever," Chinitz said.

The former couple were recently reunited in anguish over son Cameron's recent arrest and imprisonment for drugs. In a letter to the judge, Douglas admitted not having been a great father and said Diandra was "a young mother without any parenting skills handed down from her own parents."

Douglas has an estimated net worth of more $200 million, according to IMDB.
