K-Pop Sensation BTS Brings Pop-Up Store to Chicago

As part of their stop in Chicago, BTS opened a store in the city's Loop, complete with new merchandise

The K-pop group that has taken over the world is taking over Chicago - and they've got merch.

Boy band BTS is scheduled to perform two nights at Soldier Field, on both Saturday and Sunday at 7:30 p.m.

The concerts are part of the seven-member group's U.S. leg of the "Love Yourself: Speak Yourself" tour, with two shows apiece in Los Angeles, Chicago and New Jersey before heading to Brazil, then Europe and Japan.

As part of their stop in Chicago, BTS opened a pop-up store in the city's Loop with new merchandise, some even specific to their Chicago performances.

The store is located at 114 S. State St., the band tweeted, and is open from May 7 to May 13 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. CST.

If you're headed to grab your BTS gear, don't be surprised if there's a wait. Photos and videos posted on social media show massive lines outside their Los Angeles pop-up store last week.

Big crowds are all but guaranteed at both shows and at the store, as BTS is certainly one of the biggest acts in the world right now.

They're performing in Chicago fresh off the release of their latest album, "Map of the Soul: Persona," which debuted at the top of the Billboard 200 last month.

That debut made them the first group since The Beatles to land three number one albums in less than a year. BTS also recently performed on "Saturday Night Live" and at the 2019 Billboard Music Awards as their international takeover continues - with no signs of stopping.
