Portillo's likes to go all out for its birthday, and this year is no different.
Following the success of last year's 55-cent cake slices, the Chicago-based hot dog purveyor plans to offer slices of its "Famous Chocolate Cake" for 56 cents in honor of its 56th anniversary.
Customers can get their 56-cent slice on Tuesday, April 9, with the purchase of any sandwich, hot dog, entree salad, pasta or ribs.
"Every year, we look forward to celebrating our special day with this one-of-a-kind treat as a way to say 'thank you' to our fans for their continued support," said Portillo's CEO, Michael Osanloo, in a statement. "We couldn't think of a better way to honor this milestone!"
All restaurant locations will participate in the celebration, and the deal works online too for one slice per order, all while supplies last.
And don't forget, Chicagoans: The Windy City gets its third Portillo's at Addison and Kimball this year.
