Lollapalooza Pop-Up Shop Opens Friday in Downtown Chicago

LollaShop opens Friday on Chicago's Magnificent Mile

Lollapalooza fans don't need to go to the Chicago festival to stock up on their Lolla gear.

The temporary pop-up store LollaShop opens Friday on Chicago’s Magnificent Mile at 535 N. Michigan Ave. This is the fifth year the store has opened for the music festival.

"We had a line outside our store this morning," Roni Schanbaum, the event merchandise manager said.

New this year, LollaShop is featuring merchandise from two of the festivals headliners Radiohead and Red Hot Chili Peppers. Limited-edition merchandise collaborations with the Chicago Blackhawks, Bulls and Cubs are also available at the store.

"We were able to modify logos for Chicago teams and mix them with a little bit of Lolla flare," Schanbsum said.

This is the third year LollaShop has worked together with some of Chicago's sports teams. Fans can also grab festival-themed tees, hats, fanny packs and even skateboards.

"We're really excited to bring a bit of the festival out to those who may not have a ticket," Schanbaum said.

Throughout opening weekend of Lollapalooza, customers will receive a free 25th Anniversary enamel pin with any $30 purchase.

The store is open Friday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and will be open until August 1.

Lollapalooza returns to Chicago's Grant Park July 28-31.
