    Fourth of July Parade at Independence

    Fourth of July Four-Course Fireworks Dinner

    What: This dinner takes place on a riverfront patio and boasts some of the best views during the city's fireworks.

    Lake Michigan July 4th Fireworks Dinner

    What: This 4th of July dinner will feature "creative plated dining, award winning wines, entertainment, dancing and views that will take your breath away." 


    Windy City RibFest in Uptown

    When: July 4-6

    Where: Lawrence Ave. and Broadway St.

    Admission: $5 donation suggested

    What: Windy City Ribfest in Uptown is returning for its 11th anniversary. The event always has live music, arts and crafts and—of course—ribs.


    27th African/Caribbean International Festival of Life (IFOL)

    When: July 4-7

    Where: Washington Park- DuSable Museum Garden, 55th St. and South Cottage Grove

    Time: 12 p.m.-10 p.m.

    Admission: $12-$149

    What: The IFOL is a self-proclaimed "carnival of nations" dedicated to creating change for all. There will be two stages featuring Reggae, Calypso, Soca, African, Jazz, and more.


    West Fest Chicago

    When: July 5-7  

    Where: West Town

    Time: 12 p.m.-10 p.m.

    Admission: $5 suggested donation

    What: The festival is locally planned and managed by the West Town Chamber of Commerce, meaning that all the food and talent are local. There are also two specialty festivals inside West Fest: Kid Fest and Pet Fest.


    Red White & Booze Cruise on July 5th

    Where: Anita Dee II at Dusable Harbor, 200 N. Breakwater Access 

    Time: 1 p.m.-3:30 p.m.

    What: Enjoy stunning views of Chicago along with DJ music, dancing and much more.


    Millennium Park Family Fun festival

    When: July 5

    Where: Millennium Park

    Time: 10 a.m.-1 p.m.

    What: This is a festival for the whole family. Come and enjoy fun activities, music and crafts.


    Replay Lincoln Park Hosts SpongeBob SquarePants Pop-Up

    When: July 3-7

    Where: Replay Lincoln Park, 2833 N. Sheffield Ave.

    Time: 5 p.m.-2 a.m. Wednesday and Thursday, 3 p.m.-2 a.m. Friday, 12 p.m.-3 a.m. Saturday and 12 p.m.-2 a.m. Sunday

    What: Hang out with SpongeBob and his friends and maybe you'll get the chance to find out the Krabby Patty’s secret formula. 


    Chosen Few DJs Picnic & Music Festival

    When: July 6

    Where: Jackson Park

    What: Celebrate house music with Grammy winners such as Def Mix Productions co-founder David Morales and Thelma Houston, house music vocalist and viral sensation Lady Alma and disco maven Taana Gardner.


    AON Summer Fireworks

    When: July 3 and July 6  

    Where: Navy Pier

    Time: 10:15 P.M.

    Admission: Free

    What: This spectacular firework show takes place every Wednesday and Saturday at Navy Pier.


    July 4th Rooftop party

    When: July 7

    Where: Estate Ultra Bar, 1177 N. Elston Ave. Chicago, IL 60642

    Time: 2 p.m.-6 p.m.

    Admission: $10-$20

    What: Celebrate Fourth of July on a rooftop overlooking the Chicago skyline and the Chicago River. 


    Chicago White Sox v. Chicago Cubs
