A new ranking has named the best hotel in Chicago, based on reviews from customers around the world.
Orbitz released its list of customers’ favorite hotels for 2015, and Chicago’s top location was the Peninsula, located at 108 E. Superior St.
The winners were ranked using roughly 400,000 hotel reviews from customers over the past year. The customers were asked to rate hotels based on amenities, maintenance, hotel staff, room comfort, location, and value. Experts also factored in number of reviews, frequency of booking and reputation of hotel staff.
The Peninsula won the Best in Stay Elite title for Chicago from Orbitz and The Talbott Hotel was named the most LGBT-friendly location in the city.
In honor of the ranking, Orbitz said it will offer a promotion code (BESTINSTAY50) through Nov. 13 for $50 off a vacation package for a three-night or more stay at any of the Best In Stay hotel winners.
