‘It's a Wonderful Life'-Themed Pop-Up Bar Coming to Chicago Suburb

This holiday season you’ll not only be able to watch the Christmas classic “It’s a Wonderful Life,” you’ll be able to visit it.

That’s because a suburban bar is transforming itself into an “It’s a Wonderful Life”-themed pop-up bar once a week for the entire month of December.

The Roosevelt Room in Berwyn said it plans to transform Fitzgerald’s SideBar into “Nick’s,” featuring craft cocktails inspired by the cult-classic film, jazz music and even an “old timey register that ‘gives out wings’ when you ring on it.”

Cocktails will range from a “flaming rum punch” to “Zu-Zu’s petals” and a group will even sing Auld Lang Syne. After live jazz music is performed at the venue, there will be a showing of “It’s a Wonderful Life” on the bar’s big screen.

“The Nick’s pop is the go to place for those who want to revel in holiday cheer, have a nostalgic experience, enjoy a craft cocktail and listen to top-notch jazz,” the bar’s website reads.

The pop-up bar will open every Wednesday in December.
