Beginning at the end of this month, bright and colorful lanterns will take over Soldier Field for an illuminated festival.
The Dragon Lights lantern festival will come to Chicago for the first time this spring, staying in the city from March 30 through May 6. The event brings 40 "larger-than-life lantern displays" using state-of-the-art LEDS and animation, officials said.
Tickets are on sale here, with prices ranging from $13 for children to $20 for adults and other specialty packages.
“We are excited to bring the Dragon Lights lantern festival to Chicago for the first time this spring.” Huiyuan Liu , Sichuan Tianyu Culture event manager, said in a statement. “This festival is a spectacular celebration of the Chinese culture that we hope evolves into a yearly tradition for the Chicago community.”
