Chicago School Named Among World's Top Universities

The University of Chicago made the list at no. 9, the same placement it had in last year’s ranking

One of the top universities in the world is in Chicago, according to a new ranking.

Analytics company Quacquarelli Symonds released its annual list of the best unniversities in the world and the University of Chicago was among the top 10 institutions.

The ranking included data from 1,000 of the world’s top schools, looking at academic reputation, employer reputation, international faculty and students and more.

The University of Chicago made the list at no. 9, the same placement it had in last year’s ranking.

The school was cited for its “progressive credentials,” professional schools, successful alumni, notable faculty members, media and film work and hundreds of student-run clubs and societies.

The top university on the list was Massachusetts Institute of Technology, followed by Stanford University, Harvard University, California Institute of Technology and University of Oxford.
