Chicago Restaurant Named Among Most Scenic in US by OpenTable

Only one Illinois restaurant made the list, but Wisconsin had two eateries make the cut

When it comes to picturesque views and good food, you might think there are plenty of options to choose from in Chicago.

But according to a new OpenTable ranking, only one city restaurant is among the most scenic in the U.S.

Chicago Cut Steakhouse was named on the list of 100 most scenic restaurants in America, according to the online restaurant reservation site.

The ranking was made from more than 12 million diner reviews of more than 28,000 restaurants from June 1, 2017 through May 31, 2018. Restaurants were scored and sorts by the number of reviews where “scenic views” was selected as a special feature.

Chicago Cut was the only Illinois restaurant to make the list, but Wisconsin had two eateries make the cut.

Harbor House and Bartolotta’s Lake Park Bistro in Milwaukee, were both named.

California had the most restaurants on the list, with 28 named. Florida followed with 13 winners and New York had seven.

“We know a memorable meal is as much about the ambiance as it is about the food,” Caroline Potter, OpenTable's chief dining officer, said in a statement. "This year’s list represents an immense variety of restaurants that not only offer an exceptional meal but also feature breathtaking views that enhance the experience for locals and travelers alike.”
