Blackhawks fans will soon be able to munch on Big Star tacos while watching their team tear up the ice at the United Center.
The arena has partnered with the Blackhawks, Bulls and Levy Restaurants to bring a host of Chicago's favorite restaurants to the concessions at the United Center beginning this fall. In addition to Big Star, other restaurants include Publican Quality Meats, Jake Melnick's Corner Tap, Leghorn Chicken, Lillie's Q, LQ Chicken Shack, Frontier, Lottie's Pub and The Pony.
Highland Baking Company, Sweet Baby Rays, Goose Island, Vienna Beef and DiGiorno will also offer their fares.
The new collection of concessions, called "Chicago's Plate," is part of the ongoing renovation plan for the United Center, according to Levy Restaurants.
Earlier this year, the United Center installed two self-service beer machines operated by DraftServ. Instead of ordering a beer at a counter, guests can buy a DraftServ card from a cashier using a credit card. Then they swipe the card and fill up their glasses as much as they want, paying by the ounce. The amount of beer poured is charged to the credit card used to purchase the DrafServ card.
Spectators using the self-service beer machines have the option to purchase Bud Light, Budweiser, Stella Artois and Goose Island.
