‘8 Crazy Nights': Hanukkah-Themed Pop-Up Coming to Chicago

The bar, which will take over Graystone Tavern, is set to open Dec. 1 and continue through New Year’s Eve

Put on your Yarmulke, here comes Hanukkah.

An “8 Crazy Nights” pop-up bar is coming to Wrigleyville, marking what it says will be the city’s first and only Hanukkah-themed pop-up.

The bar, which will take over Graystone Tavern, is set to open Dec. 1 and continue through New Year’s Eve.

The bar will feature what organizers said will be a “winter wonderland of decorations created for the Jewish holiday,” including more than 8,000 blue and white lights and Hanukkah ball lanterns, Star of David and dreidel ornaments, lighted menorah decor, Mensch on a Bench, a photo booth with Hanukkah props and more.

"We wanted to participate in the Wrigleyville holiday pop up scene but wanted to be different. Many of our Jewish friends were urging us to do a Hanukkah pop up and with many of the Wrigleyville bars focusing on Christmas, we thought there was a void to fill," owner Kyle Bagley said in a statement. "We're also excited to add a charity component to do our part this holiday season and look forward to working with the Israel Cancer Research Fund."

Food options will include things like matzo ball soup, latkes, challah bread and more. There will also be festive games like Connect 4 with Hanukkah gelt, Cards Against Humanity Jew expansion packs, Mitzvah Match, Jewish Guess Who, Apples to Apples Jewish edition and a Schmear Build-A-Bagel card game.
